Out and About (and where to find us)

I have received invites to exhibit and sell my sculptures at three fabulous Events already. I hope that you can pop along and say hello and just visit these awesome Locations. Three of them are “bucket list” venues to exhibit for me so I am very excited and Curdridge is a return invitation that makes me genuinely happy..

Firstly, I will be an  Art in the Garden 2025 Exhibitor in the Little Forest Land Art Competition. (LFLA)

Art in the Garden is an annual open studio event taking place in early summer, in and around Jan’s studio. It features Jan’s ceramics and the work of other invited artists and makers, complimented by site-specific installation work created by the LFLA team. Now in its 11th year, it has developed a large following with those who wish to purchase artwork and those who want to wander around the relaxing environment and be inspired. As they open up new areas and paths, they are creating even more opportunities and spaces to display work. They focus on three three-acre wild meadows, a woodland path immediately surrounding it and the pond. There are many different areas and environments around the site including decaying corrugated pig huts, wood pile walls, and old oak & yew trees, to name a few.

Time & Date: 24 May to 7 June 2025 (closed Mondays and Tuesdays) 10 am to 4 pm weekdays and 10 am to 5 pm weekends
Location: Evergreen, Trampers Lane, North Boarhunt, Fareham, Hampshire, PO17 6BU

Secondly, I will be a RECREATE EXHIBITION Exhibitor in The Round Tower, Old Portsmouth.

The purpose of this exhibition is to celebrate creativity and innovation by highlighting works crafted from repurposed materials that might have otherwise been discarded. By transforming waste into art, it aims to inspire sustainable practices and provoke thought about environmental responsibility. It is being held in The Round Tower which was built around 1418 to defend the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour. It is a fabulous venue and the views from above and inside of the Tower are stunning. Look forward to seeing you.

Time & Date: 14 – 15 June 2025 (10 am to 4 pm)
Location: The Round Tower, Broad Street, Old Portsmouth, PO1 2JE

Fifthly, I will be exhibiting during POSE 2025 (Portsmouth Open Studio Event) for the first time.

POSE – Portsmouth Open Studios Event – is a citywide urban arts trail. For one amazing weekend in October, artists across the city open their doors to the public, inviting people into their studios, homes, pop-up spaces, and even galleries to experience art where it’s made. Visitors can take part in workshops, watch demonstrations, talk to the artists about their work and buy directly from the artists.

It’s more than an arts trail – it’s a community. POSE brings together artists from every background, working in every medium: painters, ceramicists, printmakers, sculptors, photographers, textile artists, illustrators, installation artists, animators, performance artists, musicians and more.

Time & Date: Friday 24 October to Sunday 26 October
Location: 38 Victoria Road North, Southsea, PO5 1PX
